I found some old 8 mm film dating from the 40's but need a splicer to
view it to see if it's worth transfering. Anyone have any idea where to
find one?

My husband has had good luck with mymovietransfer.com They are
Debenham Media Group, 416 Mill St., Coraopolis PA 15108 or
1-800-865-7172
Also, the Atwood History Club (in Madison) is going to sponsor a Home
Movie Day on Oct. 18th
(there is a web site www.homemovieday.com that encourages this sort
of thing ! )
In Madison we are referring people to the following people for
transfer of film to video or DVD:
Joyal Holder, Holder Printworks, 4709 Goldfinch Dr., Madison 53714
608-226-9415
Jim Hoffman, Video Memories Productions, 601 N. Whitney Way, Madison
53705 608-238-7127

I think it costs about $100 for a 15-20 minute movie. We tried hard
to find someone local but so few provide this service anymore.
If you go through Denevi, here is an important tip—insist that
they do NOT tag on their 30 sec. advertisement in the beginning or end
of your transfer to DVD.
Call me if you have any questions…

We have a 16 mm movie film that we would like to have converted to DVD. Does anyone know where we might have that done? No virus found in this incoming message.Checked by AVG - http://www.avg.com Version: 8.0.138 / Virus Database: 270.5.3/1565 - Release Date: 7/21/2008 6:36 PM
