Society Launches New Fundraiser
The Washington County Historical Society is excited to announce the first
annual Holiday Raffle. The lucky winner of the first prize will receive
$5,000 cash. Second prize is a pair of his and her Mopeds. Tickets are $25
a piece, and only 1,000 will be sold. The drawing will be held Sunday,
December 7 at the Old Courthouse Museum. Proceeds will support the society's
operational budget.
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at the following West Bend
businesses: First Weber, Coldwell Banker, West Bend School District,
Clothes Clinic, Shorewest, West Bend Lakes, Beverly Hills Studio One, and
Washington County Historical Society board members.
In past years, the society has presented a special gala event to raise funds
for operational support. "We decided to try something a bit different this
year" stated Director of Marketing and Development Lisa Rogers. "We have
had a small raffle in the past, but we hope that this event will help us
meet our goal of raising $25,000. There are several local groups who have
generously agreed to assist us with this project, and we hope you will stop
by and purchase a ticket. We are deeply appreciative of their help."
The raffle is part of the holiday event "Christmastime at the Old Courthouse
Museum" December 5 -7. Other festivities include a tree lighting ceremony,
grand reopening of "The Treasurer's Vault" gift shop, silent auction,
holiday treats sale, entertainment and more. For more information, purchase
