Paranormal Will Lead Ghost Tours

As part of the Washington County Historical Society's "Ghosts of Washington County" event, the Kettle Moraine Paranormal Investigation will lead tours through the "Haunted" Old Sheriff's Residence and Jail Friday October 24, and Saturday October 25.

In 2007, the Kettle Moraine Paranormal Investigation examined the Old Sheriff's Residence and Jail looking for paranormal activity. No ghosts were actually seen, but the team did experience some unusual noises and activities. The upcoming tours will guarantee some eerie and unusual sites that are sure to tingle the spine.

The Friday October 24 tours begin at 6:30p.m., and are the scarier "haunt" of the two nights. Saturday October 25 is the family friendly "Ghosts of Washington County" and will include haunted jail tours, "real" Washington county ghost stories, a dramatization of Edgar Allen Poe's "The Masque of the Red Death," and a costume contest for kids 12 and under. Treats, prizes, and lots of spooky fun are included.

The price of admission for both evenings is $5 per adult and $2 per child 12 and under. This event will take place at the Old Courthouse Museum complex located at 320 S. 5th Avenue, West Bend. For more information or questions, please contact the Washington County Historical Society at 262-335 -4678. Both of these special evenings are sponsored by Lori's Costume Shop located at Come if you dare!
