Seeking Century Farms
Applications are now available for the 2009 Sesquicentennial and Century
Farm Program. This program is held annually by the Wisconsin State Fair.
In 2008, 127 property owners were honored with a program award.
Homes and farms are eligible for this honor if the title of the property has
been owned by the same family for 100 years or more. Only one award per
property will be issued. Farms and homes with 100 years of continuous
ownership through the year 2009 will be recognized at a special breakfast
program during the 2009 Wisconsin State Fair. Details of the event will be
mailed to accepted applicants by mid June.
Applications must be received no later than March 1, 2009. Applications may
be obtained by calling Mel Kluever at 262-334-7235. Any questions regarding
this program can be addressed to Jill Albanese at 414-777-0580.
