New Happenings at the Society
The Washington County Historical Society Board of Directors is excited to
announce the addition of 4 new society board members, and changes in
Research Center Hours.
Judge Richard Becker has been elected to President of the Board of
Directors. New Directors Ms. Josephine Minskey, Mr. Dan Schmidt, Mr.
Russell Prust, and Attorney John Best have also been elected. Ms. Carol
Puerling is the new Washington County Board Representative, and will also be
participating at the board level. These new members will govern the
exciting programs, exhibits, and events that are planned for 2009.
Over the past year, the society has experienced professional growth in
programming and museums. To meet the society's needs in these areas,
Washington County Historical Society is excited to announce the addition on
an Advisory Board. This board will meet quarterly to discuss new special
programming and events. Please call Lisa Rogers the society at
262-335-4678 to learn more about this project.
The Society Research Center has also changed its regular business hours.
Beginning in February the Research Center will only be open the first and
third Saturday of each month. This change was made as a result of a study
of the Research Center patron flow pattern.
