From the “Homelands” and Back:

Central European Immigration History and Traveling to Central Europe Today

Explore and celebrate the historical and contemporary ties between Central Europe and Wisconsin at the Chippewa Valley Museum in Eau Claire’s Carson
 Park on Saturday, February 28th from 2-4 p.m.

Dr. Bob Gough will present the history of central European immigration to W isconsin and the political and cultural impact of Germans and Poles in Sout heast Wisconsin, and Prof. Teresa Sanislo (UWEC) will share stories, images
 and information about traveling in Central Europe today.

A reception will follow with refreshments and music from the region. Commun ity members and/or students who are from the region or who have traveled to
 Central Europe are welcome to share their stories and photos as well!

Free with the price of paid Museum admission, including $4 for adults, $2 f or children ages 4-17, and Museum members and children three and under free
