Russ,

Just by accident, we hit upon an idea that was successful for a couple of teenagers last weekend. We have the remains of an old Indian mound in our village, so after they were studying the map of where it was located, our docents sent them out to find it. They returned about 45 min later with the address.

We have been thinking since then, that questions about the area that could be easily found, on foot, in the phone book, asking parents, etc. could be available to these young people as a scavenger type activity. Many have cell phones and could take a picture of their find. Just an idea that worked for us.
