Lee, I'm the volunteer photo archivist at the Sauk County Historical Society in Baraboo, WI. We have also digitalized our photo collection and they are available to the public. We have descriptions of them on our Web site: http://www.saukcountyhistory.org/photocollection.html The cost if anyone wishes a copy is $10 each plus $4 mailing, either a glossy photo or on a CD. If someone wishes to use an image in a book, brochure, publication, etc. the cost is $20 each, and they must give our Society a photo credit in the publication, plus a copy of the publication. If someone wishes to see a copy before they purchase it, I usually send a very low resolution thumbnail of the picture, or I'll put a large SCHS logo across the center of the photo. We don't get a lot of requests for photos, perhaps a dozen a year. Many times people are looking for photos of their relatives. Hope this helps you make a decision regarding your collection.
