The Winneconne Historical Society Complex of five buildings are opening Sunday, May 30 1:30-4:30 P.M. and every Sunday thereafter through Sept. 4th. New exhibits beginning the season are Brides of American and of Foreign Lands in the Doll Museum. A tribute to the Winneconne Girls Basketball 2009-10 State Championship will be in the One Room School House. An honorary exhibit for the late James P. Coughlin, founding member of the Historical Society, President of the Village of Winneconne with 40+ years in public service, can be found in the Railroad Depot Museum. Other buildings are the Little House, with a turn-of-the 20th century setting and The Steamboat House featuring two authentic steamboat cabins. Free admission, donations appreciated. This museum complex is found on West Main Street in the 600 block with street parking and adjacent to Marble Park where there are play grounds, picnic tables, and a swimming pool.
