Subject: Material for Transfer
Dear Museum Colleagues:
The Milwaukee Public Museum has a number of items which it is removing from
its Pioneer House Education collection and is looking for new homes in oth
er educational institutions. The material was acquired for educational pro
gramming that no longer is done. None of it has been in the permanent colle
ctions of the Museum. Most of the material is c. late 19th/early 20th centu
ry household goods and farm equipment. It ranges from dishes, furniture and
carpentry tools to horse hitching equipment.
The material is available for on-site review and an inventory and photograp
hs are also available. We are eager to transfer this material by the end o
f August.
If your institution has interest in possible acquisition of this material,
