The US GenWeb pages for the counties in Wisconsin that you are
interested in: http://www.wigenweb.org/ is more Wisconsin-specific, but
relies on how much the person putting the individual pages together knows.
Also, the web pages for the Area Research Center (ARC) that covers the
county or counties you are interested in can be very helpful. (ARC
Network page: http://www.wisconsinhistory.org/libraryarchives/arcnet/
for which counties are in which ARC.)
