Please join the Friends of Aztalan State Park for an afternoon of Native Am
erican traditional drumming, songs, and dances on July 31, beginning at 1:0
0 PM. The Ho-Chunk Wisconsin Dells Singers will perform. The Wisconsin De
lls Singers was founded in 1976 by Ken Funmaker Sr. Today his son, Elliott,
coordinates the group. Members include Funmaker brothers and cousins. The
group will sing in Ho Chunk to the steady beat of a large drum while perfor
ming a variety of traditional dances. In the presentation, the Wisconsin De
lls Singers will talk about the songs, drum, and traditional regalia that a
re part of their performance. The public will be invited to participate in
dances. Ho-Chunk arts and crafts will also be displayed and available for
purchase. The performance is free, but Wisconsin State Park vehicle stick
