The Waushara County Historical Society will celebrate Halloween with an ope
n house at the museum in Wautoma from 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 14, 15, 21 & 22. To
ur the museum and haunted attic and enjoy scary treats. There will be tours
of the museum which will be decorated for Halloween. There will be fruit p
unch and snacks. There will be soda and bottled water available for sale, a
s well as a rummage sale upstairs in the jail section of the museum. Visit
the solitary confinement cell where Ed Gein, America's most bizarre murdere
r was locked up the night he was arrested. Also see a cell where a prisoner
hung himself in 1941. His ghost is said to be haunting the building. Come
at your own risk
