As I understand it, the Billy Mitchell airport in Milwaukee is named after him. There is a small museum devoted to him on site. At this time in Wisconsin History, he and several others are important to remember and honor. He stood up against his higher officers and said what needed saying.

Does anyone have information honoring Billy Mitchell such as a memorial, park, statue? It seems as if Wisconsin does not honor him as they should. In Alaska, there is a mountain named after him and a huge wooden sign in the entrance to the park telling about his being the forerunner of aviation.

I was reminded of this question again in the Forward in Flight newsletter where there is a picture of him and his plane with no other article. Mentioned are pictures of other aviators located in the Mitchell Gallery of Flight. Where might that gallery be?
