Dear Colleagues,

Would you like low-cost professional development and networking opportunities? How about money saving discounts for supplies you already use? Then let me personally invite you to join the Wisconsin Federation of Museums.

WFM membership is an economical way for institutions and their staffs to take advantage of high-quality, low-cost professional development opportunities and to stay in touch with Wisconsin museum colleagues. The WFM is the only non-profit statewide organization dedicated to promoting Wisconsin museums and the museum profession.

ALERT! Gaylord is offering all current WFM members special pricing throughout the month of June. They will advertise it as "June Contract Bonus Days" and it will apply an additional 5% discount off an entire order, excluding freight. The special price will be adjusted through WFM's regular Contract Priority Code # WIFM04.

**You must be a current WFM member to take advantage of this offer**

The Wisconsin Federation of Museums Annual Associates Conference is scheduled to be held Monday, November 12, 2012 at the Milwaukee County Zoo. Please consider submitting a session proposal for the meeting. WFM individual and institutional members receive discounts on both the workshops and the annual meeting fees.

In addition to the discounted registration fees, there are many reasons to be a part of WFM:

*EXPOSURE: Member organizations are listed on the WFM website. Your website can be linked to the WFM website for even greater exposure. We are working to make this listing a must-visit site for tourists to learn about Wisconsin museums. Check out WFM's website at www.wisconsinmuseums.org
<http://www.wisconsinmuseums.org/>

*SAVINGS & DISCOUNTS: WFM members receive discounts from vendors of archival items, display cases, and other materials from vendors like Gaylord and Associated Bag. Also, member museums can post job listings on the WFM website FREE for 60 days.

*ADVOCACY: WFM is the voice of Wisconsin museums in Madison and Washington, D.C. We are a sponsor of "Arts Day" and AAM Museum Advocacy Day. WFM is the sponsor and organizer of Wisconsin Museums Week.

*PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Professional Workshops and the Annual Associates Conference provide professional development opportunities at a moderate cost and without major travel expenses.

*RECOGNITION: WFM has a new awards program for WFM institutions, WFM individual members, and for volunteers. Information about the awards program is on the WFM website.

*GRANTS: The WFM has a new program mini-grant program for WFM member institutions. Information about this new service from your state organization is on the WFM website.

Because of these tough economic times, dues are kept to a reasonable cost. For institutions with an annual budget of less than $350,000, dues are still
$40. For institutions with an annual budget of $350,000 or higher, they are only $60. Individual memberships are $15 for those who earn under $25,000 and $25 for those who earn over $25,000.

Ready to join? Go to www.wisconsinmuseums.org/membership.php to sign up today and take advantage of the Gaylord 15% + 5% discount!

If you have questions or need further information about the WFM, please feel free to check out the website or contact me at 608-269-8680 or mclhr@centurytel.net. The Wisconsin Federation of Museums looks forward to working with you and for you!

Sincerely,

Jarrod Roll, WFM Board Member
