Subject: 2014 Wisconsin Governor's Archives Awards
Dear Friends:
The Wisconsin Historical Records Advisory Board, in conjunction with the Wi
sconsin Historical Society, invites nominations for the 2014 Governor's Arc
hives Awards. These awards honor outstanding work with historical records i
n Wisconsin. The awards recognize individuals, programs, or organizations
that have made significant contributions to preserving or increasing the av
ailability of original historical documents. Three awards are given each y
ear, recognizing archival achievement, archival innovation, and archival ad
vocacy.
Attached is a letter inviting nominations for this year's awards.
Documentary resources are vital in telling the story of Wisconsin's rich h
eritage. Archives are also a key ingredient to efficient business operatio
ns and government. Let's acknowledge the accomplishments of those supporti
ng this important work. I hope you will consider preparing a nomination or
share this information with a deserving individual or organization.
All the best,
