*Iola Historical Society offering Veterans *

*a free pig roast dinner on Memorial Day*

Iola WI: The Iola Historical Society, in conjunction with the Sheveland-Tayor American Legion, is hosting a pig roast on Memorial Day, immediately following the annual Iola Memorial Day Parade and Service on Monday, May 26.

The Memorial Day Parade starts at 11:00 from the Iola-Scandinavia High School parking lot and proceeds to Veterans Park on Main Street. A Memorial Day service then takes place at the park. After the service, the parade will proceed to the Iola Historical Society’s historic village, wit h the dinner being held at the society’s Machine Shed at 222 Depot Street
.

The pig roast starts at noon and runs until 3:00 p.m. All veterans are offered a free dinner in honor of their service. The donation for dinner for spouses and the general public is just $9. The dinner includes all the trimmings and beverages.
