Ann is seeking information about this this chest - please respond to the li
st or directly to her at Ann Waidelich <annwaid@sbcglobal.net<mailto:annwai
d@sbcglobal.net>>
The Historic Blooming Grove Historical Society has been given the
hope chest pictured below.
The donor says it was bought near Ashland about 10 years ago but may
not have originated there.
Does anyone recognize the name ? Can anyone verify that the
decoration is Czech ?
We don't have a historic Czech population in our area - is there
another society that would like this chest ?
It is 4' long, 2' deep and 2' tall with hand wrought hinges and
square-headed nails.
The back is not painted but all other sides are painted similar to
the front.
Very beautiful and in good condition.
