A collection of negatives was donated to us by the wife of a deceased local photographer. There are several thousand negatives of weddings, confirmations, class photos, etc. What do other museums do with these types of negatives? Do we spend a lot of time putting them into acid-free envelopes and labeling each one? Or do we simply put the boxes the negatives came in, on a shelf with one accession number and forget about them? Our collection takes up a fair amount of valuable space. Bill Sauk County Historical Society
