Sunday, Sept. 11th marks the 24th Historic Day at the Historical Park at
Racine Avenue and National Avenue in New Berlin. This is a free event with
lunch plates and homemade desserts available for sale.
The grounds open at noon, at 2pm there is the Antique Parade, followed at
2:30 by Storytelling in our School House. At the Weston Antique Apple Orch
ard there will be barrel rides for the kids starting at 3pm and "The Blue G
rass Allstars" band will start entertaining at 3pm also.
This is the 5th year for the popular Plein Air painting competition. The a
rtists will be in town with their canvases, painting landscapes and buildin
gs during the days prior to Sunday. On Sunday those paintings will be ente
red in the competition and show and will be for sale. This is your opportu
nity to get an original painting of some of the beautiful places in New Ber
lin.
All buildings will be open, including our museum where you can see the upda
ted military displays. We have an extensive agricultural display area, alo
ng with a fire truck and fire and police history rooms. Be sure to pass th
rough our gift shop - you may find something you just must have!
