The National Center for Preservation Technology and Training and the Oak Hill Cemetery Preservation Society will offer a one-day hands-on workshop for the basic care and maintenance for historic cemeteries. This class is open to the public on September 23rd in Janesville, WI. The workshop cost is $35 per participant.
This is an introductory course beneficial for cultural resources staff, trustees, genealogists, cemetery caretakers, grounds keepers, students in historic preservation, public history, and allied fields, and others interested in caring for a cemetery, whether you are doing the work yourself or working with a group to see that a site is maintained and preserved. No prior training or experience is required.
