Hands-on History: Felting 101
Children's Workshop
This introductory class, taught by Gwyn Padden-Lechten of "In the Woods Stu
dio" and Mount Horeb Area School District Art Teacher Laura Gruetzmacher, w
ill teach young artists the basics of wet felting.
Students will make a small, colorfully striking wall hanging. To do so, the
y will learn about various techniques used by textile artists to shape wool
roving, and then use simple sewing techniques to embellish their creations
with beads, buttons and baubles.
This workshop is hands-on, kid-friendly and very fun!!
