Hi Helen,
I’m on the Membership Committee for Mitchell Gallery Of Flight. Attached is our renewal letter and renewal form. We made several changes this year, with positive results:
- Increased our dues from a standard $10/member to a five-tier offering, ranging from $20 to $500.
- Added membership features and benefits, such as electronic delivery of our Flightlines newsletter, a T-shirt, and a premium General Billy Mitchell Medallion.
- Added a “$30 for 30 years” promotional donation request.
- Expanded our website to enable web-based credit card renewal.
- Exploring Facebook advertising to grow membership.
Our renewal mailing consisted of a mail-merged cover letter, pre-addressed renewal form, and stamped, self-addressed return envelope.
Our best asset is our Board members who helped design and execute these improvements. I hope this information is useful for you.
