Hi Karen,
I don't have the agreement here at home, but the Mondovi Area Historical So
ciety has a written agreement with the City of Mondovi spelling out each pa
rty's responsibilities and obligations relating to our museum buildings tha
t are located in the city's Tourist Park. It is something we asked fo
r after a regime change in the city government. We felt that rather t
han continuing with our handshake agreement with the city, we should have s
omething in writing. One stipulation in the agreement is that if eith
er party wants to end the agreement there needs to be a six month notice gi
ven.

Subject: Agreement with Town Board
The Albin Johnson Log House (on National and State Register) will be moved
from private property to Town of Spirit in Price County property.
An arrangement between the owner of the log house (Spirit Historical Societ
y, Inc.) and the Town of Spirit needs to be written.
What should be included in an agreement? Is there a better word than agreem
ent?
The SHS Board will hold all maintenance and financial responsibilities for
the house museum.
Do we need a lease agreement?
What is your experience? Are sample agreements available?
