Subject: Curating Community Digital Collections -- call for Host Sites

Recollection Wisconsin is now accepting applications from Wisconsin libraries, archives, museums and historical societies to participate in Year Two of our IMLS-funded Curating Community Digital Collections
<https://recollectionwisconsin.org/digipres> (CCDC) program. In 2019, CCDC will support a cohort of ten teams. Each team will include a graduate student from the iSchool at UW-Madison or the School of Information Studies at UW-Milwaukee, a professional mentor and a supervisor from the Host Site.

Host Sites will work cooperatively with skilled mentors and graduate students, receive digital preservation training from experts in the field, develop and implement digital preservation best practices, policies and workflows and join a larger network dedicated to building community around digital preservation work. Our Host Sites in 2018 included the Barron County Historical Society
<https://recollectionwisconsin.org/tag/ccdc-team-barron-county>, Manitowoc County Historical Societ
<https://recollectionwisconsin.org/tag/ccdc-team-manitowoc-county>y and Roc k County Historical Society
<https://recollectionwisconsin.org/tag/ccdc-team-rock-county>.

CCDC participants are required to attend an immersion workshop in Madison May 21-23, 2019 (expenses paid), supervise an information school graduate student during summer 2019, have a critical mass of born-digital or digitized content that needs preservation treatment, and commit to sustaining digital preservation work beyond summer. *Please note: This is not a digitization program. You must already have digital content to participate. CCDC projects do not support new or continuing scanning or reformatting efforts.*

Prospective Host Sites are invited to submit a draft application by *Decemb er 7, 2018*. We’ll review your application and provide feedback to hel p strengthen your project pitch. Final Host Site applications are due *Januar y 2, 2019* and selected Host Sites will be notified by January 18.
