A local history museum is seeking information on how other museums have aff ixed accession numbers to model railroad stock - specifically an operationa l set. If you have dealt with this particular situation, or can recommend a
good contact, please let me know so I can put you in touch with the Bayfie ld Heritage Association. Thank you! Janet

It seems that several of the suggestions for tagging/identifying model rail road rolling stock might work if the items were just being stored in a stat ic exhibit. Our situation may have the rolling stock in operation which po ses a different problem so that the marking system doesn’t interfere with
the operation of the model railroad. The suggestions that I receive were very good and I can see where I could use them in other application but not
sure that they are a fit here.

Do you know of anyone that has actually dealt with tagging an operational H O model railroad exhibit?
