Traynor Family History & Discovery – Online Event
Submitted by Julie Huebel, Pierce County Historical Association
Calling all Traynors! Trainors! and Treanors! Please join us at 2pm on Sat
urday, October 10th for an online Zoom event presented by family historians
: Michael “Steve” Traynor and Maureen Costello, event organized by the
Pierce County Historical Association.
Steve is a family historian that has written multiple books on his family h
istory. He and Maureen will be sharing information they have learned in th
eir shared research on the background of their Irish Traynor name and herit
age, their ancestors’ journey to Canada and then finally to Pierce County
, Wisconsin. Many Irish families in Pierce County have a similar story, es
pecially those that settled in the El Paso area. The event will be about a
n hour long with time for introductions and questions.
If you wish to attend, please email Julie Huebel at If you wish to attend, please email Julie Huebel at jhuebel@piercecountyhis
torical.org so an online Zoom invite can be sent to you. Even if you don
’t have Traynor ancestors, Steve and Maureen’s passion for ancestry res
earch is sure to be enjoyed by all fellow family historians.
Please Note: This is an experiment for us, if it proves successful, we wil
l organize more online events featuring our local historians. Feel free to
join us if you are just curious about possibly trying an online event like
this at your organization.
