Women Of The Civil War
TheCaledonia Historical Society is pleased to announce a presentation by Su
sanFallon speaking about women of the Civil War. Her presentation will
take place on April 21st at 6:30 pm atthe Franksville Memorial Park, 9614
Hwy K, Franksville.
Mrs. Fallonand her family have been involved in re-enacting the Civil War f
or 35years. She has done extensive research toportray the women of th
e Civil War accurately, both Southern and Northern women.She is a direct de
scendant of a Civil War veteran on the Federal side.
She has been involved in several organizationsrelated to Civil War re
-enactment and is currently vice-president of theAuxiliary to Sons of Union
Veterans of the Civil War. The Auxiliary encourages patriotism
,education, and charitable deeds.
Mrs. Fallonwill be wearing one of her uniforms and will demonstrate some of
her Civil Warclothing.
The public is invited to attend. Registration is not required a
nd there is nocharge.
