Maureen,
We started our own historical society marker program, as we are a small community and already have one Wisconsin State Historical Society marker, It would have been a long haul to do as many markers thru the state marker program as we currently have up (since 2010, we're at No. 19, with four more slated for this year).
The main marker company is Sewah Studios out of Marietta, Ohio. Plenty of info on their website.

Any information regarding placing a plaque stating when the building was established/built. Historical use of building in the past. Do not need a Wis Landmark sign, just an informative brief sign telling of early use and when built to brighten up our local downtown historic district.
Any information is appreciated. Also places where a sign company is located.
