The Knox Creek Heritage Center in Brantwood, WI, dedicated to preserving the
heritage of the pioneers that settled these great Northwood's will be
hosting "A Country Afternoon" on Saturday, September, 14th, 2024. A social
gathering featuring our First Annual Chili Cook-Off. An impartial panel of
judges will decide the best chili and the best chili cook will be awarded a
$100.00 Gift card. Beer Tent and refreshments will be available. The
grounds will be open at 11:00am, lunch will be served from 12:00pm - 1:30pm.
Homemade Finnish bread and Pulla (a cardamom braid bread) will be available
for purchase. Our Gift Shop will be open with a lot of local author's books
available. Homemade pie auction. Music will be provided by "Randy "Rupert"
Jones". This is one of our four annual fund-raisers, and we are glad to be
back! This is our 29th year of existence. The new pavilion has been
erected and in use at some of our previous events there but, there are still
some finishing touches that are needed. Any donation, either time or
monetarily will help to make these dreams come true. Any donation will be
greatly appreciated. Some of the buildings (we have nine) are older than
100 years.and need a little TLC. We have materials ordered to perform some
necessary repairs on the Main House. We hope to see you all there for a
great "Country Afternoon" and a little bit of our local history, good times
can be had by all. Please find attached a copy of our events poster.
