Thanks to all who attended the Dec 11 War Protest, hosted by the PSA.
Bob Greene counted 37 in attendance, and again with a few late arrivals,
we've marked the number as 40. Many new Eau Claire community members
were there, and the ECPC collected over a dozen new names.
The three speeches were moving and compelling, and I, at least, left
with a stronger understanding of both the situation in Iraq and the
variety of goals various peace groups have and the methods we might
employ to achieve them. Many thanks to all who spoke!
I am leaving next weekend for my annual pilgrimage to the Carribean,
courtesy of my generous Republican parents :) If peace groups are
interested in the ECPC continuing efforts, let me or Harriet know--we
hope to regroup and continuing growing and finding new formats for
expression as soon as possible. We welcome any and all suggestions.
