Subject: IMPORTANT PRESS CONFERENCE
Attention: All Student Organizations,
This is a general announcement to information you for the opportunity to
represent yourselves at a Press Conference. The Governor is releasing
the annual Budget Report on February 8th, Tuesday. In response to the
anticipated tuition hikes and education cuts the Student Senate and
United Council is holding a Press Conference for all media available on
February 9th, Wednesday in the Presidents Room, Davies at 2pm. The
general information will be given to the press and afterwards there will
probably be opportunities for one on one interviews with students in the
room on their general reactions to the budget.
It is important that student exhibit their support for reasonable
tuition. This is a crucial time when the governor and Board of Regents
will be listening closely to the reactions of the students. The reports
by the local TV stations, newspapers, and radio stations will be heard
around the state and will be heard by those who represent us.
