Colleagues,
I have already e-mailed my displeasure to all of them:
"I am deeply disappointed that you voted to allow oil drilling in the
Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. With Democrats like you, who needs
Republicans."
It's a start.....
Eberth

Subject: Specifically, who blew it on today's vote
Below is the word from Daily Kos-and there's a good post overall on this
vote and what to do next.
See the whole thing at
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/3/16/143634/267
Landrieu (D-LA) , Akaka (D-HA), and Inouye (D-HA) (none / 1)
It's these three Democrats that blew it on this bill.
Seven Republicans, including even some fairly conservative senators,
like Norm Coleman of Minnesota, Mike DeWine of Ohio, and Gordon Smith
of Oregon, voted against drilling.
It was key Democrats here that in the end opened the way to drilling in
the ANWR.
Apparently the three Dems were quite aggrieved by gas prices, or
something.
Somebody has to find a way to reason with these three Democratic
Senators.
Democratic leaders can't lose such key votes in their own caucus and
hope to win this.
