Reflection of Humanity Conference

in honor of Paul Rusesabagina's Forum Series presentation

TOMORROW: WED. NOV. 2ND

Events from 1-4:30pm in Davies Theatre

Free to all interested individuals

Refreshments will be served throughout the day

1-1:50pm: The Role of the American Media in International Crises

                 Mike Dorsher and Arlyn Anderson, assistant professors in the department of communication and journalism

2-2:50pm: The Role of the United Nations and How it Functions in International Crises

                    Olga Mitrovic, international student from Serbia and Montenegro ,and Annie McHugh, President of Model United Nations

3-3:50pm: Dialogue on the Roots of Genocide

with Selika Ducksworth-Lawton, associate professor of history, and UW-Eau Claire students Aaron Brewster, Avril Flaten, Lisa Huftel, Chris Shaw and Noah Taylor

4-4:30pm: Visit to Albatross, a Peer Diversity Educators Workshop.

This intercultural learning exercise will help participants understand how our own ethnocentric biases play out in our daily lives and our interaction s with others.
