Yes, I know, but the on-line version isn't complete and as I spend almost every one of my working hours in front of a computer, I prefer to read the paper in a comfortable armchair away from screens, screens, screens - computer, TV - I am sick of all of them. Just weird me. N.W.

You can always read it on-line, which is what I do . . . . Just a suggestion, not an argument! I think a letter would be excellent-the letter Kate Hinnant sent to the Spectator about the backed-out-of debate
(which the Leader-Tel would not print any letters on) made some points that could be usefully expanded on with this wrapper deal in mind.

Letters about the election in the days leading up to an election-sheesh, why should any local newspaper want to entertain THOSE?

I'm willing to cancel my subscription--even though I'm not a Democrat. I'm weary of apathy too. It makes me feel so...apathetic.

Let me know if this will be done en masse, and, if so, some ideas about the language we wish to use.

The sticky note was at least on the paper and an obvious ad. Anyone should differentiate that note from being the paper's political view. The packaging from last night appears to represent the paper. A friend on Marston did not have a wrapper on her paper last night.

How many are willing to take a stand and call and speak to someone and cancel subscriptions, at least temporarily? If only a few do it, nothing good will come out of this.

This should not be a Democrat's issue but an issue for all who want ethical media. I grow weary of apathy.

My paper also came yesterday with a sticky note attached asking me to vote for Dillon for Sheriff, so apparently others are doing this as well. N. W.

                Colleagues,

You may recall that the Leader-Telegram refused any letters commenting on the Republican pull-out from the debate at South Middle School . . . How shall we "read" this action?

The Leader Telegram just came in a huge brightly colored plastic bag promoting Republicans. It is sponsored by the NRA. It will lead many people to believe that the paper is promoting the Republican ticket.

I called and was told it is just plain and simple, a paid advertisement.

I think it is appalling. Maybe if enough of us call, someone will think twice about this.

How many of the public will believe this is promoted by the LT rather than an ad?
