If you judge by the media coverage, the anti-war demonstrations in 11 citie s this past weekend, including Chicago where I was, were a non-event. But b elieve me, they weren't. , along with participants at two rally points, came together, so many photo s don't give a full sense of the extent of participation. Old, young, eve ry color, many nationalities, people in wheelchairs, etc. There is also video available on the United for Peace and Justice Web site, which is the only place you can see the hundreds of police officers, on foot and on hors eback, in full riot gear, that were there.
