I agree - this is good networking. Naturally, if there's a personal request, replying only to the questioner is appropriate. When I ask people/societies to join (Like I did today at Museum Mingle in West Bend), I tell them often you might get half a dozen messages one day, then nothing for a couple of weeks.   It would be nice if those of us responding to an inquiry who intend to address only the person asking it would do so by clicking that person's email address rather than clicking "REPLY", subjecting all of us to their message.
