The annual Harvest Fair of the Pewaukee Area Historical Society will be held on Sunday, September 21 from 11 AM to 5 PM. Buffalo Big Mountain and Eago Nahweeda Big Mountain of the award winning Big Mountain Dancers will perform Native American dances at 2 PM. Other features of the fair include a concertina band, flea market and silent auction. Baked goods, relishes, mixes, and fresh produce will be for sale, as well as hot food and caramel apples. Vendors will have various items for sale. Demonstrations include: blacksmithing, genealogy, chair caning, corn shelling with hand sheller, rug hooking, butter churning and painting by artist, Orel Rooney. Displays include arrowheads and Indian pipes.
  Pewaukee Apple Trees may be purchased. The fruit tree, developed in 1870 by George Peffer, is a cross between the Duchess of Oldenburg and Northern Spy.
  The museum will be open during the Harvest Fair. A new feature in the Native American room is a CD with the history of Native American settlement. The newest exhibit features Fishing Now and Then. Grandma's Trunk, the new Museum store will be open.
  There is no charge for the museum. Donations are accepted.
