The Rural Historical Society will be holding a House Walk on Saturday, September 27 from 11 am to 4 pm. The Walk will visit 5 homes in the village of Rural, plus the cemetery and one garden. The village of Rural is on the National Register of Historic Places for its unique resemblance aand preservation as an old Yankee village. The homes will show the history of the village---3 which have been restored, one in process, one newer one built and remodeled in keeping with the village. People will be in the cemetery portraying early settlers. A horse and wagon will take you around the village. Lunch will be available.
Rural in built on the Crystal River about 6 miles south of Waupaca just off highway 22. Tickets will be available on site for $5.00.
