IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN!
"Historic Indian Agency
House Kiddie Christmas"-
Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008; 4PM to 6PM. Calling all Kids! Help us
decorate the Agency
House tree by making an old-fashioned ornament. And that's not
all--you'll also paint a Christmas pot to take home (hand-crafted by
local artisan Guy Wolff) and plant a paper-white plant bulb in it.
Afterwards, enjoy apple cider and Christmas cookies! Santa will also be m
aking an appearance! FREE TO THE PUBLIC. Call 608-742-6362 for information

"Historic Indian Agency House Christmas with the
Kinzies"-
Thursday, December 4th, 2008; 6PM to
8:30PM. Mingle with Portage's illustrious "first family," John and
Juliette Kinzie, enjoy musical entertainment by the ladies' acapella
quartet, Main Street Melodies, and indulge in a variety of refreshments
..and feel good about it, because all proceeds
assist in the continued preservation and operation of the Historic
Indian Agency House. Admission is $15/person or $25/couple. Tickets may
be purchased at the Portage Chamber of Commerce and the Mercantile on
Main Street prior to the event, or at the door. Call 608-742-6362 for
