A Special Community Opportunity
The Washington County Historical Society opened their fourth museum, and
now operates four distinctive historic museums and sites in Washington
County. This exciting expansion has created a need for a group of
energetic people to assist with special projects, events, and the
development of new programs. To fulfill this need the Society is creating
an Advisory Board.
The Advisory Board will support the Society's mission to serve the greater
Washington County Community and assist with the expansion of programs,
events, and initiatives. Board membership requirement is a desire to be a
part of an exciting new group that will serve the Washington County
community. This board will meet on a quarterly basis, and work in
conjunction with the Society's Board of Directors.
The Washington County Historical Society is a dynamic and important
community partner providing much needed educational programming at little or
no cost to local schools, civic groups, and anyone with the desire to learn.
The society's four historic venues are a great asset to tourism within the
community bringing over 11,000 visitors a year to the area.
You are invited to learn more about the Washington County Historical Society
and the Advisory Board at an informal wine and cheese party on Wednesday,
April 8, at 5:30p.m., at the Old Courthouse Museum. Please R.S.V.P. by
