NEWS RELEASE FROM NEW HOLSTEIN HISTORICAL SOCIETY

     "Apple Betty and Sloppy Joe" will be the topic, but not necessarily th e fare for

the New Holstein Historical Society's Annual Heritage Luncheon to be held S aturday,

May 2 at 11:30 at the Altona Supper Club in New Holstein.

     Subtitled "Stirring Up the Past with Recipes and Stories", "Apple Bett y and Sloppy Joe"

Is the title of a volume of recipes and memories collected by the Sanvidge sisters of

Oshkosh, WI. Co-author Jean Sanvidge Wouters and her mother, Helen Sanvidg e, the

matriarch of the kitchen that inspired this book, will be the main speakers
. The event will

feature recipes, cooking related anecdotes and humorous asides that will ev oke

memories of Mom's or Grandma's kitchen of the 1950's.

     Tickets are available at New Holstein City Hall or by calling 898-5080
 or 898-4928.

Cost is $15.00 per person. Reservations are required. Tickets will be ava ilable through
