I went to Oral History Day in Eau Claire the end of April and learned that
there is a shortage of transcriptionists available for all the historians
doing research and interviewing people and needing the audios transcribed.
I have had years of experience as a transcriptionist in professional
settings and recently completed 46 separate one to two-hour audio taped
interviews by a PhD candidate.
I offer the low rate of $50 per transcription hour. I averaged, without
professional equipment in my home, about 15 minutes tape in a clocked hour.
I have ordered professional equipment including footpedal, which will
increase my speed. As a professional writer, I can deliver the final typed
product as professional as you choose for the same cost. Some prefer we
capture the lingo of the speaker, while others may want the final product to
be grammatically correct.
Tell me what you want, and that's what you get. Satisfaction guaranteed.
