The Madison Trust for Historic Preservation (MTHP) is a local preservation
group dedicated to sponsoring landmark nominations, presenting educational
programs about preservation, supporting preservation projects, promoting ne
ighborhood revitalization with an emphasis on preservation, and bringing pu
blic, private and governmental sectors together in support of these goals.
MTHP, in conjunction with the National Trust for Historic Preservation Midw
est Office, seeks to hire an executive director. This position is the firs
t paid staff person in MTHP's history and, as such, will play a key roll in
building the organization as it moves to a higher level of advocacy.
The Executive Director works for the MTHP and will work closely with the Bo
ard of Directors in developing policies and planning activities that fulfil
l MTHP's mission. The Executive Director will have overall responsibility
for administration of the organization and the joint delivery of field serv
ices with the NTHP across the Madison and Greater Dane County area.
