Washington County Historical Society Open House in Germantown
The Germantown Historical Society will host the Washington County Historical
Society's July bimonthly meeting at an open house Tuesday, July 21. This fun
and informative evening will be held at the Christ Church Museum in the
heart of the Dheinsville Settlement. Everyone is welcome and should not
miss this opportunity to check out two outstanding area attractions at no
charge.
This free event begins at 6:30PM and includes the video presentation of
Germantown history produced by Leadership Germantown. Visitors will enjoy a
PowerPoint presentation featuring the Germantown Historical Society's new
book The Early Years. The Sila Lydia Bast Bell Museum will be open from
6:30 to 7:00 pm preceding the meeting, and the Valentine Wolf Haus will be
open following the meeting as a sample of Germantown's complete Settlement
Tour. A brief overview of the Society's activities and Q&A time is included
in the program.
Don't miss the opportunity to be part of history with the "Time Line"
exhibit that invites visitors to add memories of the Town and Village of
Germantown at the entrance Bell Tower. Refreshments will be served. For
