Milwaukee Teen Kicks off Agency House Photo Contest
The first contributor to the Historic Indian Agency House 2009 Photography
Contest is 16 year-old Ellen Wood of Milwaukee. Wood contributed several ph
otographs taken during a recent family visit to the area, with the one sh
own here featuring the wooden bridge leading to the Ice Age Trail that runs
through the Agency House property. The contest continues through Septembe
r 1, with the general public encouraged to enter. Submissions are $5 each
, with proceeds benefiting the continued operation and preservation of th
e circa 1832 historic site. Eligible subjects include anything on the publi
cly accessible portion of the Agency House grounds. Winners will be announc
ed September 26 at a BBQ fundraiser to be held at the site. For further inf
