If you are close enough to the Eau Claire area, please consider spending a day helping to judge student projects for the regional National History Day competition at UW-Eau Claire. National History Day in Wisconsin 2010
Call for Judges & Event Volunteers
You are invited to become a National History Day judge at the Wisconsin Northwest Regional Competition on the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire campus, on Friday, March 26, 2010, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
National History Day is an exciting academic program that helps students learn about historical issues, ideas, people, and events. Junior high and high school students across the region are involved in this educational program that engages students in the process of discovery and interpretation of historical topics. Students produce dramatic performances, imaginative exhibits, multimedia documentaries, web sites, or research papers based on research related to this year¡¦s theme of ¡§Innovation in History: Impact and Change.¡¨ These projects are evaluated at school, regional, state, and national levels.
We are requesting your assistance on March 26 to select those student projects to be entered in the state competition at Madison. The schedule for the day is as follows:
8:00 ¡V 8:45 a.m. ¡V Judge information and training session
8:45 ¡V 2:30 p.m. ¡V Judging of student projects (please inform us if you need to leave earlier).
* We will provide judges with lunch.
