Good Afternoon Museum Representatives:

I'm writing to request that you consider registering for Wisconsin Museums Week 2010. Wisconsin Museums Week is sponsored by the Wisconsin Federation of Museums (WFM) in conjunction with ICOM's International Museum Day which occurs on May 18 each year. This year WFM will be celebrating Wisconsin Museums Week from May 15- 23. Museums that choose to participate are encouraged to host contests, workshops, conferences, performances and special tours during this week. Participating in Wisconsin Museums Week is really a great, inexpensive way to promote your institution. As a participant of Museums Week, institutions receive FREE posters and bookmarks announcing Wisconsin Museums Week 2010. In addition, WFM has a special web page on its website which lists all participating museums and highlights their activities for the week. WFM also sends out a press release which announces Wisconsin Museums Week and the various events and activities taking place at museums across the state.

I strongly encourage you to take advantage of this great promotional opportunity and to join the celebration this year. To register, please see www.wisconsinmuseums.org for the Wisconsin Museums Week 2010 registration/response form. The deadline for registering is this Friday, April 2nd so if your institution is interested in participating, please sign up today. Last year more than 30 Wisconsin museums took part, and it would be great if additional institutions joined in the celebration this year.

Thanks for interest in Wisconsin Museums Week 2010. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at questions, please feel free to contact me at zielkefamily@charter.net.

Sincerely, Bridgitt Zielke Wisconsin Federation of Museums board member and Wisconsin Museums Week coordinator
