JOHN JAMES AUDUBON TO VISIT NEW LONDON Internationally Known Actor, Storyteller and Author to Portray Audubon

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 8, 2010-New London- As part of the Audubon; T he Art of Nature exhibit, the New London Public Museum welcomes Brian Ellis
 aka John James Audubon. Ellis, an internationally renowned storyteller, au thor and naturalist will bring Audubon to life through a number of public p erformances. This is a great chance to see history come alive! First John J ames Audubon visits the New London Public Museum on Friday, October 22. Sto p in anytime between 4:30-6:30 p.m. Then Brian Ellis conducts a writing wor kshop at the museum on Saturday, October 23 from 9-10 am. Afterwards, join Audubon at Mosquito Hill for Adventures of Audubon starting at 1:00 pm. The
 workshop is $5 and space is limited. The Mosquito Hill performance is $5 f or adults and $2 for children under 15 years of age. Tickets are on sale no w.

On Saturday, October 23 starting at 9:00 a.m. at the New London Public Muse um, Brian Ellis, author and storyteller will host Bird is the Word: Journal ing, Poetry, Non-Fiction Writing Workshop. Using some of John James Audubon
's writing as a basis, this workshop will help you discover some tips for e ffective journaling. You will learn to use poetry to write clearer more exc iting essays and turn your field notes into publishable articles. Come to c elebrate the voices of nature and find your voice in the natural world. Tic kets are $5, space is limited. Discount available if you attend both the wo rkshop and the presentation at Mosquito Hill

Bring the family and experience the Adventures of Audubon at Mosquito Hill Nature Center on Saturday, October 23 starting at 1 pm. Get your tickets in
 advance $5 for adults and $2 for children under 15. This is your chance to
 spend time in the studio of one of America's greatest naturalists and wild life artist. Listen to tales of his adventures as he finishes something no one had ever accomplished before: drawing every bird in North America.
