You may have already heard about the Waukesha County Museum's current speci
al exhibit, Memories of War II, which will run through the beginning of Jun
e. The exhibit contains over one hundred photographs from the Associated Pr
ess archives as well as photographs and artifacts pulled from our collectio
n to tell the special stories from Waukesha County and Wisconsin during Wor
ld War II.
I also wanted to make sure you knew about our new Lunch & Learn series, our
new series of monthly lunchtime talks on topics related to World War II an
d military life. The first of these takes place next Wednesday, December 8.
Hubert O. Ranger, World War II veteran will discuss his book, The Last Bug
ler: Experiences of a Private in the 79th Infantry Division, Europe, World
War II, based on his experiences. His book will also be available for purch
ase.
Each talk begins at 12:00 pm and will be followed by a docent-guided tour o
f Memories of World War II at 12:30 pm. The $8 per program registration fee
includes lunch, talk, tour, and admission to the museum. Register by calli

The museum is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. Adults
are $5, seniors are $4, children are $3, and children under six and members
